Longhand is a reflection tool for people who think out loud. Speak your morning pages and they are transcribed on your own device, then filed into your own plain-text vault; nothing leaves your machine.

Inside that membrane, the record stays pure: your thinking as it develops over time, untouched by AI-generated text or outside research. What the vault holds is provably yours.

Refinement happens later, and elsewhere: ideas can be taken outside the membrane to be researched, stress-tested and interrogated, then return as validated concepts without contaminating the original record.
